I remember a Family Camping Trip shortly after we figured out Nelson had an eye tracking problem. Dr. Kowallis was having us do eye exercises to retrain his brain to tell his eyes to move from left to right when reading words on a page. Most of us have eyes that do that naturally, so we don't even think about it. Anyway we hooked a string to a softball, and swung it back and forth. We were to stand 3 or 4 feet away in front of him. He was suppose to follow the ball back and forth with his eyes. He also had some secatic eye exercises that were letters on a page he had to read. It only took like 10 or 15 minutes, but it was pure torture because we were in the mountains. There were trees to climb, and new places to explore!
