WE WILL BE TOGETHER FOREVER SOMEDAY
Words and Music by: Michael Mclean
Well it's hard to say goodbye and let go
and it's hard to see it end
When the memories we've just made
may never happen again.
But its harder for time to ever erase
the times together we've shared.
So when we're apart remember
all the love we've shared together
And for all the love above
thanks the Lord above
who showed us the way.
That we can be together forever someday
We can be together forever someday
We will be together forever someday.
See you again someday Nelson!! Love you Jeanne :)

You never know the hole you will leave behind until you are gone or the impact you were on someone's life. Nelson I never got to meet you in person but we did chat and I know my brother loves you so much and I can't wait for the day to finally meet you face to face. May those who are mourning still find peace and comfort in that great reunion to come :)

I thought of you when I heard this song...may Angels lead you and us until we meet again someday ;)
May Angels Lead You In: (Jimmy Eat World)
There's no one in town I know You gave us some place to go.
I never said thank you for that.
I thought I might get one more chance.
What would you think of me now,so lucky, so strong, so proud?
I never said thank you for that, now I'll never have a chance.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
So what would you think of me now, so lucky, so strong, so proud?
I never said thank you for that, now I'll never have a chance.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
And if you were with me tonight, I'd sing to you just one more time.
A song for a heart so big, god wouldn't let it live.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.
May angels lead you in.
Hear you me my friends.
On sleepless roads the sleepless go.
May angels lead you in.

I was just thinking about the time you and Marvin got all those oranges and we were sitting on your bed eating some and I found the pile of peels that had gone moldy! I'll never forget the way you laughed! You had the best sense of humor. I miss you.
Landon Nelson
I was just sitting hear thinking about you, it was really hard for me when you passed! I keep thinking about what I could have done different to help you to be a better cousin to you?! I know your in a better place now! But I miss you and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about all the good memories of you and marv and tanner with your big plans for your band and everything else you accomplished in your short time on this earth, you where an amazing person, you are an amazing person. Rest in peace Nelson I love you and miss you.

Happy Birthday my brother, sure wish you were here to celebrate with us. Our family would not be the same if you hadn't been part of it on this earth. I'm so happy that you still are and that we get you forever. I miss you. Love Caralee

It's kind of funny, last night I was reading my scriptures and for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about you, so I said a silent prayer and thanked Heavenly Father that I had the privelage of being your friend while you were still on this earth. Then today I found out it was your birthday. So Happy Birthday Nelson, I hope and pray that your missionary work on the the other side is going well. With love from you bud - Skyler

LET THERE BE MEMORIES-fond recollectionsof special occasions... and everyday things. Let your heart start on its journey to healing by feeling the comfort remembering brings. LET THERE BE MEMORIES-pictures, mementos, and favorite stories both funny and sad. Let your mind wander the paths of remembrance, reliving the joys and the good times you've had. LET THERE BE MEMORIES-signs that our loved ones remain near in spirit long after they're gone...tender, surprising, heartwarming, and welcome-sweet proof of the promise that love will live on. -LINDA BARNES

You were always there and like shining light on my darkest days you were there to guide me.
Oh I miss you now ... I wish you could see.
Just how much your memory
Will always mean to me
In a blink of an eye
I never got to say goodbye
Like a shooting star Flyin' across the room
So fast so far
You were gone too soon
You're part of me
And I'll never be
The same here without you
You were gone to soon!!!!! ;(

I sang with the ward choir today in ward conference (This is the Christ). He is the only healer of our souls. That's why it was so tough to keep my emotions together through the whole song because I know without doubt that is true.

Not a Day goes By (Lonestar)
Got a picture of you, I carry in my heart
Close my eyes to see it, when the night gets dark
Got a memory of you, I carry in my soul
Wrap it close around me, when the world gets cold
If you asked me how I'm doing I'd say just fine
But the truth is, baby
If you could read my mind
Not a day goes by
That I don't think of you
After all this time
You're still with me it's true
Somehow you remain
Locked so deep inside
That baby, baby, oh, baby
Not a day goes by I still wait for the phone
In the middle of the night
Thinking you might call me
If your dreams don't turn out right
And it still amazes me
That I lie here in the dark
Wishin' you were next to me
With your head against my heart
If you asked me how I'm doing I'd say just fine
But the truth is, baby
If you could read my mind
Not a day goes by
That I don't think of you
After all this time
You're still with me it's true
Somehow you remain
Locked so deep inside
That baby, baby, oh, baby
Not a day goes by
Minutes turn to hours
And the hours to days
Seems it's been forever
That I felt this way
Not a day goes by
That I don't think of you
After all this time
You're still with me it's true
Somehow you remain
Locked so deep inside
That baby, baby, oh, baby
Not a day goes by

I remember when we went cliff jumping at the Sandwash Lake near the dam with Elder JTapley R. Mitchell's family. And while Nelson and Marvin, along with the others, were all jumping off the high rocks (10-15 feet) Marianne and I were to nervous to jump off the middle rock (5-10 feet). It was pretty funny!
Caralee Eric Turnidge
I remember Nelson and Marvin shooting wild rabbits and cooking them in the crock pot in barbecue sauce. But they had so many they got tired of them and several years later I think there were still some in the freezer.
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember climbing Mt. Timpanogus with Jeanne, Nelson, Marvin, and Daddy. We had to keep Nelson and Marvin slowed down, or they would have been there 20 minutes before we were. Actually I think they would get ahead and then wait for us to catch up! LOL
Jeanne Evans
I remember when Nelson and Marvin took their ducks swimming in early spring. But then due to the ducks being cold they blow dried them with a hair blower borrowed from most likely Marianne ;)
Samantha Ceanna
I remember when Nelson, Marvin, Shiney, Tanner and I were terrified of the movie signs..... I am to this day scared of thats movie :O haaaaa
Jeanne Evans
I remember when Nelson and Marvin bought 5 ducks and they gave me one of the white ones. They took them swimming, to the fair and we even almost lost them one time in the Wintertons field. But about a year after getting them I was at Snow College and Nelson called me to try to get me to let them sell my duck. So I asked him why they would sell our ducks? Apparently they were tired of buying duck food and so at first I tried to convince Nelson to keep them, but eventually someone bought them :) The joys of duckhood!
Jeanne Evans
I remember when Nelson, Marvin and I were collecting those new quarters with all the states. And I had a bunch of them, but went to Snow college and when I was back one time during a break I mentioned that I should stop collecting them. (they were left at the house in a quarter holder) The next time I came home during a holiday break of school and the quarters were gone, and in their place was a five dollar bill. I asked them what happened to the quarters and they said that they traded them for a five dollar bill, since I had said that I should trade the quarters in and quit collecting them. Hahaha...it was pretty funny :)
Caralee Eric Turnidge
I remember when Nelson and Marvin tricked me into tasting a duck egg, yuck!! They thought it was very amusing!

I'll Be Missing You:
Verse One: Puff Daddy
Seems like yesterday we used to rock the show.
I laced the track, you locked the flow.
So far from hangin on the block for dough, Notorious,
they got to know that life ain't always what it seem to be (uh-uh),
words can't express what you mean to me.
Even though you're gone, we're still a team.
Through your family, I'll fulfill your dream (that's right).
The future, can't wait to see
If you'll open up the gates for me
Reminisce some time, the night they took my friend (uh-huh)
Try to black it out, but it plays again
When it's real, feelings hard to conceal
Can't imagine all the pain I feel
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know your still living your life, after death{Chorus: Faith Evans}
Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin of the day, when you went away
What a life to take, what a bond to break
I'll be missing you{Puff} I miss you Big
{Verse Two: Puff Daddy}
It's kinda hard with you not around (yeah)
Know you in heaven smilin down (eheh)
Watchin us while we pray for you
Every day we pray for you
Til the day we meet again
In my heart is where
I'll keep you friend
Memories give me the strength I need (uh-huh) to proceed
Strength I need to believe
My thoughts Big I just can't define (can't define)
Wish I coul turn back the hands of time
Us in the six, shop for new clothes and kicks
You and me taking flicks
Makin hits, stages they receive you on
Still can't believe you're gone (can't believe you're gone)
Give anything to hear half your breath (half your breath)
I know you still living you're life, after death{Faith Evans}
Somebody tell me why{Interlude: Faith Evans}
One glad morning
When this life is over
I know I'll see your face{Outro: 112}
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day
Every night I pray, every step I take{Puff}
Every day that passes
Every move I make, every single day{Puff}
Is a day that I get closer{Puff}
To seeing you again
Every night I pray, every step I take{Puff}
We miss you Big... and we won't stop
Every move I make, every single day{Puff}
Cause we can't stop... that's right
Every night I pray, every step I take
Every move I make, every single day{Puff}
We miss you Big{Chorus 2X with variations}

I remember when Nelson would back float/swim to the middle of Sandwash (Lake) and then later on wanted Marvin and I to go with him. But we didn't want to because it seemed rather dangerous, Nelson never was one for not doing something because it might be dangerous...haha :)
Shiney Nelson
I had a dream a couple months ago and we were in a desert me sam and marvin and i was walking down a road and i saw a gate in the distance and i got closer and i thought marvin was at the gate so i started walking towards him and as i got closer it was nelson opening the gate for me, it felt so great to see him it really felt like he was there and i grabbed his hand and he gently pulled me inside the gate and i started walking i turned around and he was still there and i started crying and woke up i loved that dream so much and i really really loved seeing him i dont know if it was really him visiting me but i truly loved it:)
Samantha Ceanna
I remember when Nelson and I would lock Cheyenne, Marvin, and Tanner out of the car and just chill while they tried and getting in (:
Marianne Evans
I remember when Nelson would purposefully drink out of my cup! He would always grab mine so I started putting it on top of the fridge. One day I walked in and caught him grabbing MY CUP and getting a drink. I told him 'Nelson, that's mine!!! Stop it!!!' He just gave me his half-lop-sided grin, took a sip, and put my cup back in its place. lol...

I remember Nelson and Marvin letting me read Redwall to them as well as The Black Stallion, we also enjoyed watching the Redwall show. It was fun whenever I was home visiting from USU to go out and look at all their animals.

Wood hauling has been a big part of our lives for the last 30 or so years because we have heated our home with a woodburning stove. Not only did it require alot of team work as a family, but it proved to include some fun and adventure! I remember when Nelson and Marvin loaded buckets after bucket of snow one winter and piled it on top of the wood pile. They packed it down to make it slick then slid off it on some inexpensive plastic sleds we had bought. Also Nelson, Marvin, and Brad Williamsen built towers to climb on, by going back and forth lots of layers high, like if they were building a log cabin.
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember the first year Nelson and Marvin did 4-H lambs. It was the year Caralee and Eric got married. Ronald took them and got the lambs the afternoon before we were going to Logan to Caralee and Erics wedding. While unloading the lambs one got away. They chased it around the fields north of our house for several hours trying to catch it. It was getting dark, and finally they decided they would stop. When we got back from the wedding there was a message on our phone from our neighbor(Carolyn Winterton) who lives East of us, asking if we had lost a lamb. It was down with their cows. Nelson had the great idea to take the lamb we still had down there and see if it would follow them home. So he and Marvin led the lamb with a halter down to Wintertons. And sure enough it followed them home.

I remember when Nelson called to tell us that President Hinckley had passed away, he liked to talk on the phone :)

I Remember When nelson and marvin and I were in roosevelt and we where drifting and i was all acting like i knew what i was talking about then i said what is a drifthahahaha ....... good times with my bro.
Tanner Nelson
I Remember When we where at the fair and nelson and marvin would buy candy for lunch and i would buy a sandwhich and milk good times.
Shiney Nelson
I remember everytime there was a wedding or a funeral me, sam, nelson and marvin and tanner would go wonder the church and play tag or hide n seek and once marvin thought the window was a door and ran into it me and nelson laughed so hard:)
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember when Nelson and Marvin bought their first snowmobile from someone up in Mountain Home for $25.00. Then they brought it home and got it running. They rode it all that winter and into the next. They were rednecks when it came to keeping that thing going. I think they took me for one ride on it. Jeanne rode with them all the time when she came home for the holiday's.
Caralee Eric Turnidge
I remember when Nelson brought Cheetos home from Stewarts cause they were almost outdated and were being thrown out.
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember when Nelson sewed some shorts for 4-H, and modeled them at the Duchesne County Junior Fashion Show. He only did it one year though!
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember when Marianne was at Snow College she wanted this thought that was in Bro. Willards Seminary Classroom. She ask Nelson if he would get a copy for her. He must have inlisted Tapley"s help. Because between the two of them they snuck the thought off the wall. Nelson brought it home. I was telling him he should have got a copy instead of taking the original. I was sure Bro. Willard would have helped with that. I think the original plan was that Marianne wanted him to just hand copy it. He finally made a photocopy, and I think he and Tapley snuck it back in Bro. Willards room.
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember when Nelson and Marvin played soccar in the Fall of 2005. Neither of them had played before. Nelson's Coaches were Jason and Kim Willard. They did such a great job! The part that really touched my heart was they had a goal that every member of their team would be able to make a goal. You could tell the team members who had been playing for a few years, but I remember the day Nelson made a goal with the support of his team member!
Marianne Evans
I remember when we went to Wal-Mart and Nelson accidentally walked into/brushed a really nice car...and the car alarm went off. Jeje, Nelson went bright red and just walked away:)
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember when most of our family were here one Christmas. Eric and Caralee went to do some shopping at Stewarts and they were giving away free things down there if someone would come and sing a song. So Eric, Nelson and Tapley sang a song, and won a Ham I think!

I remember when Nelson's back would hurt...he always bought those Icy Hot Patches and then ask me to put them on his back:)
Caralee Eric Turnidge
I remember when Nelson was a little toddler and he would fall off the kitchen table and hit his head, and laugh about it. He was a tough kid!
Marianne Evans
I remember the night that my car wouldn't start (location: Stewarts Market Parking Lot) (time: 11:00 p.m.) I called Nelson who said "I'm coming. I will be there in 7 minutes" (fyi, this is a 15 minute drive). 15 minutes later he pulled in...I asked him what happened, he replied that he got pulled over. (He had no shirt on, no license, and a gun in the backseat) ...I asked him what happened and he said "nothing, I just told the cop that I was going to save my sister who is freezing in her car that wont start" ...that kid could talk himself out of anything!
Caralee Eric Turnidge
I remember when Nelson got his first deer, when he convinced Mother to take him!
Marianne Evans
I remember when Nelson was born. I was so jealous because he got all of the attention that I threw red paint on his face. (Thus praying that I would get some type of attention...good or bad!). Guess what happened??! My mom freaked out and started taking pictures of Nelson! Lol, its a good thing, if she had grounded me I would have got what I wanted:)
Kandis Carter
I remember when at Caralee and Eric's wedding reception, Eric's brother would not tell any one where their car was and so Natalie and I come out after the reception and the car we were driving had been decorated by Nelson and accomplices.
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember when Janae, Caralee, and Amanda were all at Snow College. We decided to wait and put the Christmas Tree up after they got finished for the semester. Nelson and Marvin were so excited to put it up that they didn't want to wait. So they went out in the yard, and found the tree stump from the year before. They brought it in, and put it in the tree stand. I think they begged me for a few decorations which they used to decorate it with. They put it in their bed-room. I have pictures of it. LOL

Have you ever joked about having a rich Aunt or Uncle? We had, but were just kidding because we didn't think we had one. But to our surprize we received a letter in the mail a while after an Aunt of Ronald's (Aunt Mary Eliza Evans) died. It was a check for quite a sum of money. She had never married, but apparently had been very wise in saving money and investing it. Anyway she had assigned one of her nephews to oversee what she had saved and divide it among her nieces and nephews in the Evans Family. Nelson and Marvin wanted to play Soccer especially since their friends at "Love of Learning" (Garth and Winterton) were talking to them about it quite a bit. We signed them up that fall. If Aunt Mary wouldn't have saved that money and shared it Nelson and Marvin would never have had that opportunity!
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember a Family Camping Trip shortly after we figured out Nelson had an eye tracking problem. Dr. Kowallis was having us do eye exercises to retrain his brain to tell his eyes to move from left to right when reading words on a page. Most of us have eyes that do that naturally, so we don't even think about it. Anyway we hooked a string to a softball, and swung it back and forth. We were to stand 3 or 4 feet away in front of him. He was suppose to follow the ball back and forth with his eyes. He also had some secatic eye exercises that were letters on a page he had to read. It only took like 10 or 15 minutes, but it was pure torture because we were in the mountains. There were trees to climb, and new places to explore!
Peggy Ann Evans
I remember when Nelson was about 3 or 4 yrs. old and he had a fasination with fire building. I think it was because he saw his Dad building fires all the time in the woodstove. I caught him playing with matches several times, until I finally put them up so he couldn't have them. One day it got really quiet, and I went looking for him because I knew that he had plans. Just as I opened the living room door I saw him out by the trail that goes to the ditch. He had a gallon metal can filled with dry grass and was just lighting a match to it as I looked out. It was about March so there was dry dead grass and weeds everywhere. I ran out as fast as I could, but it was already spreading. I called for Marianne as I was trying to keep it from spreading. We saw a man we knew (Alan White) and his son who were getting hay next door from their stackyard. I sent Marianne over to ask for their help. There was a slight breeze, and if they had not been there that fire would probably have gone clear to Upalco. Between them and Marianne and I we got the fire contain. In Nelson's thinking at that time he thought that fire would stay in the can from what he said. Nelson was also helping as much as he could at his young age, but I think it kind of scared him. I think that slowed him down on that.

I remember when we were growing up we would always be too scared to talk to eachother the first day we were there to visit but by the end of our visit we would be un seperatable (: (:

Hey Everyone, I am going to write a book about my memories of my brother, Nelson Evans, and I wanted to know if any of you want to contribute to the book. If you would like to contribute please post your memories of Nelson below...the form of the book will be: "I remember when" followed by a single memory. If you have five memories you would write "I remember when" five times, each time writting the individual memory. (for example 'I remember when Nelson ate my birthday cookie') Feel free to post as many as you like! Thanx!
